Walk of Hope & 29 week update

This weekend my family and I along with Baby L & his fam participated in the Walk of Hope.

"The Walk of Hope is a day to for the infertility community and those that care about them to come together and raise awareness. People of all ages can participate as a walker or donor and raise awareness of how the disease of infertility impacts families nationwide. Funds raised from the Walk support local programming which includes support groups and educational events, public awareness initiatives, and advocacy efforts to ensure all family building options are available to all."

It was a great event with plenty for the kids to do, we really enjoyed it. Our favorite part was being able to visit with Baby L (who's not really a baby anymore!) and M&M. L is so smart and sweet and he was telling us all his colors, numbers, etc. I LOVE that M&M still include us in their lives, it makes the whole surrogacy process that much sweeter!
Of course we took lots of pics; here are a few of them:

Isn't he the cutest little guy??!! Can't wait to see them again! ♥

So this week marks 29 weeks...approximately 76 days until Miss B makes her appearance!! I'm so excited for my IPs! IM has been getting Miss B's room ready...she's on the hunt for the perfect paint color at the moment ☺ I can't wait to see pics, I know it's going to be beautiful.
Miss B is definitely active, she must get that from her dad (he's a cyclist). She squirms all over the place and sometimes her kicks/punches are pretty dang strong! I have to push on my belly to try to get her to move into a different spot when it gets uncomfortable.
I'm feeling pretty good these days, just the regular ol' lower back pain and getting tired a bit quicker. Speaking of getting tired....man....it's hell trying to clean the house these days! Who knew washing dishes could take so much out of you?? I might have to invest in getting a cleaner out once a week to do the "dirty work"...I attempted to clean the bathroom the other day and yea....not happening.

Anywho, Kevin and I also celebrated our anniversary this past weekend and we went to the spa, movies and dinner. The movie and dinner were good, but the spa was Heavenly! It was the best prenatal massage I've ever had; wish I could get that done on a regular basis!

This Friday (28th) we have a Dr appt; should just be a regular quick check-up, but I'll keep ya posted ☺ Hopefully Miss B will move around so mom & dad can see/feel.
Until next time, here's my 29 week belly! TTYL!

27 weeks!

week by week pregnancy

90 days to go...... officially made it to the 3rd trimester, it's getting real, people!
I didn't receive a phone call from my Dr's office regarding my glucose test, so according to my Dr that means all is well and I passed! Woohoo! Girl Scout cookies here I come!! (totally kidding...maybe)

I've been feeling pretty good, physically, aside from daily lower back pain. I have yet to master the perfect sleeping position; I toss and turn all night, but hopefully I can get peace soon. Both of my daughter's have been sick this past week as well, so that doesn't help with getting any sleep either. Relief has to be in sight....soon.
Miss B's kicks/movements have gotten stronger and sometimes it's a little uncomfortable depending on where she decides to have her party. I think M&P will have an active little girl on their hands ☺

Nothing else to report this week...just hangin' out...growing a tiny human, you know, the norm'.

26 weeks!

Almost to the 3rd trimester! We're in the double-digit days countdown...97 days left!! This pregnancy seems to be going by pretty quick...well most days, anyway ☺ Of course, the end of the second trimester also marks the end of the so-called “honeymoon” phase of pregnancy, as the final three months can get awfully uncomfortable. Back and joint pain, swollen ankles, restless nights and Braxton-Hicks contractions, joy!
Week 25 was pretty uneventful (which we like). We had dinner at my IP's house on Saturday and OMG...it was soooo yummy!! My IM is a wonderful cook! My IPs also gave me a music belt for Miss B to listen to Baby Mozart. I'm gonna assume that she liked it because she was moving the entire time I had the music on my belly....either that or she was like "hey lady, I'm tryin' to sleep!"
It's a really cool looking belt...it has 4 speakers...surround sound for Miss B!
I'll spare you my stretch mark belly pic with the belt on, but here's how it looks on a totally fake pregnant person:

And here's my 25 week belly pic...I thought it would be fun to compare my belly in the same shirt as my 12 week pic:
As one of my surro sisters said "those circles on your shirt have officially become ovals" :\

So now we are 26 weeks! I've noticed lately that I get short of breath easily and I'm tired a lot faster...guess the pregnancy is catching up with me! I just have to take a little extra time to do things. I really don't want to do anything except lay in bed and ring a bell for Kevin to bring me stuff...but that ain't happenin'...dammit.
Glucose test is on this Friday morning, but other than that it's just another uneventful week!
So here's my big ol' 26 week belly:

...and I don't believe this...
