25 weeks...

...and I just wanna say that it's hot as hell in Texas! FML. We are on day 26 in a row of triple-digit heat in Dallas...and the friggin' A/C is broken at work. FML x2!
This is just ridiculous...

Anywho, enough of my bitching and on to Baby L's development ☺

Baby's the size of an eggplant!

Head to heels, baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but he's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. He's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

I'm still feeling good, it's just taking me a little longer to get from point A to B these days, lol. And, OMG, I had the WORST cramp in my calf yesterday morning. I could barely catch my breath, it was so bad. And it's still sore today! Apparently leg cramps are "common" in pregnancy. Whatever. I don't recall this happening when I was pregnant with my girls, but then again, I was younger...sigh...

In other baby news, my IPs have been shopping away for Baby L! I ♥ when I get texts from my IM telling me all about her "baby shopping sprees"! I can't wait to see the completed nursery, I know it's gonna be so cute! Here's a little preview of the "theme" of Baby L's room:

Isn't it so cute!?! I really like the soft colors and the whole "ocean theme" (btw, no, this is not his room. It's just where the pic of the glider and bedding was taken ☺)

Well, nothing else to report so I'll TTYL! Here's my 25 week belly pic. (I feel like I grew over night!)

Ugh, sorry it's so hot. My parents live in Carrollton, and they were in Vegas all this week. They said they knew going to Vegas in July is crazy, but it's over 100 in Texas, so it didn't really make a difference. At least there's no humidity in Vegas. I agree, eat bananas or any other potassium-rich food for cramps.

Love the glider, too! Cute!

It is so nice to know that surrogates get excited for the IPs. That makes me feel so good to know there is a connection that goes deeper than a business transaction. Thank you for showing me that.

That is soooo hot!! Summer pregnancies are the worst... I would just boycott work until that thing is fixed!

I got the worst leg cramps at night while pregnant that I had to take prescription sleeping pills to get me to sleep. Hopefully it doesn't get that bad for you =/.

BTW, adorable as always!!

I'm so late, I know. And now you are probably ready to do your next update. I've just been out of it lately.
You're looking good and it sounds as if you are in good spirits despite the heat and growing belly. It's hot here too and I also have a growing belly. And I'm not even pregnant! How sad is that? m.
