21 weeks!

Baby's now the size of a banana!

Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion, and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. (Eww!) You may soon feel like he's practicing martial arts as his initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to his activity as you get to know him better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now.

On my end, nothing to report, which, I suppose, is a good thing. My OB's office called the other day and said that we would need to reschedule our appointment that was set for the 5th because the Dr wouldn't be in the office. Umm..then why did you allow me to schedule an appointment for that day? Whatever. It's normally no biggie to reschedule, but for this appointment my IPs had taken off work and were driving down and we also had the L&D tour scheduled. It sucks when you have to rearrange plans! Thankfully, we got it figured out though and we will be having the anatomy scan on Friday the 8th and then a tour after that.

Unless something super exciting happens in the meantime, I'll "see" ya next Wednesday! Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

Reschedulers are infuriating! And Jeff is SO on diaper duty for day one. Thx for the heads up ;)
